Hello friends! I know, I know, it’s been ages. And if you follow me on IG, Twitter or FB, you know why. For the rest of you–strap in, this is gonna take a hot second to lay out.
As a general update, it was a nice fall. I traveled to Ohio, spent time with my favorite person, it was lovely.
October was a bit more challenging. October was the month I’d been dreading for as long as I can remember. It was the month I lost my bestest of best friends, the woman I have idolized and striven to emulate for my entire life, my beloved Aunt Barb.
I need to write this down, because I don’t want to forget. I knew it was coming. I hadn’t heard from her in a few weeks. I sent texts and left messages and then I called the police to do a well-check. Her car was there but the house was empty so I started calling hospitals. The second hospital was the winner. She didn’t answer the phone, so I called the nurses station and after getting permission they filled me in. I was on a plane the next day. When I walked into her hospital room I took the funny road–“If you really wanted me to visit there are less dramatic ways to get me here.”
***this is unfinished, but I am posting it anyway.
