Signs

I loved this song when I was younger. I have always believed in signs. All the “woo-woo” shit that many folks don’t put much stock in. The signs help remind me that I’m where I’m supposed to be. That I’m WHO I’m supposed to be. I tried being the beige square, but I am a glittery star that doesn’t fit. (Thank you, Amy)

Today on the drive to work the car in front of my had a Syracuse University sticker. That’s where Aunt Barb was a professor for many many years. I could hear her clear as day in my head–“Hi, honey”. Her signs are the most common. Then walking in to work I saw a beautiful RED cardinal–the most perfect red. My Grandmother was a green thumb who had trumpet vines growing outside the kitchen windows to bring out the cardinals, she loved cardinals. I’ll be damned if that bird didn’t look me straight in the eye my whole walk to the door.

Everything is there, you just need to open your eyes.
